Take the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94) to Exit 60C, 79th Street. Carter Temple is located East on 79th at Wabash (one block from the expressway exit. Our address is 7841 S. Wabash Ave., Chicago, IL 60619. If you need assistance with directions, see the bottom of this page or contact the main office at 773-874-0175.
Parking is very simple. There are four lots for you to choose from: the main lot on the church grounds (with the digital marquee), Taylor Funeral Homes two lots (on their grounds and across the street next to Carter Temple), and our overflow lot on 79th and State. There is also street parking - however, please pay attention to the signs so that you will not be ticketed.
We want you to be as comfortable as possible. Come as you are! There is no specific dress code here. You will see people dressed in suits, ties, and dresses, as well as blue jeans and gym shoes. We're just glad you're here.
SUNDAYS
Our Sunday morning worship time is 10:00am. We always begin Sunday mornings at 9:00am with Sunday School and Discipleship classes (for new members).
WEDNESDAYS
Wednesdays in the Word at 7:00pm.
The 7:00pm class is taught by Pastor Gordon and generally follows teachings on themes, books of the Bible, or similar.
Absolutely not! If you are are a first time visitor, we are just happy for you to visit. Please do not feel pressured to give if you do not feel called to. Your presence is payment enough. If you'd like to give, please visit HERE.
