To our church family and friends,
The health and well-being of our members and friends is of the utmost importance. Below are some of the ways we will move forward as a community of faith on a temporary basis. Carter Temple remains in constant conversation with federal, state and local government authorities and health officials for guidance. We will continue to follow the guidelines and protocols set forth for public gatherings and events during this time.
We will continue to have regular office hours at our normal times: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm and Saturdays from 9am-2pm CT. However, there will be no in-person, direct meetings held during this time. To schedule a phone meeting with Pastor Gordon, please contact the main office.
Join us for ONLINE WORSHIP ONLY beginning Sunday, March 22 at 10:00 am CT.
Visit www.ctcme.org to view worship at 10am CST, either on the home page or in the "media section." You can also view worship via Facebook. We will NOT meet in person until it is safe to do so.
As a reminder, those without computer or smart phone access can listen to worship via conference call. THE CONFERENCE CALL INFO IS: Dial-In Number: (978) 990-5054, then enter Participant Access Code: 4625043#
We thank you in advance for your continued financial support. If you have not done so already, now is a great time to enroll in Easytithe, our online giving platform (instructions below). Here are a few ways to give to Carter Temple:
Bring your contribution to the church during normal business hours (Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm, Saturdays: 9am-2pm CT) and drop it in the mailbox on the Wabash side of the building. Rest assured, your contribution will be safe. Please know that we are trying to limit direct contact with office staff.
Please mail your contribution to the church (7841 S. Wabash Ave. Chicago, IL 60619)
Website: Visit www.ctcme.org and click “Online Giving” and follow the prompts. You can also click the following giving LINK.
Text Giving: Text amount and giving category to 773-966-0080 (i.e. For $25 to offering you would text the following -- 25 Offering). If you’re a new user, click the links and follow the prompts to set up your account. For a listing of funds to give to, send the word “keyword” to the text giving number.
Easytithe App: Go to your App Store, search for “Easy Tithe.” Follow the prompts to set up your account and search for Carter Temple or enter our zip code (60619) to locate the church. From there, enter your account info and you can begin giving on the mobile app by selecting the fund (tithes, offering, etc.)
Scheduled/Recurring Gift: Once your account is set up, you can choose to make a scheduled contribution. This prevents you from having to sign in weekly to make your contribution – it will be automatic! To schedule a recurring gift, sign into the giving page at (or click HERE). On the GIVE NOW page, select your category and gift. Then, check the box that says, “Make this Gift Recurring” and follow the prompts for frequency, etc. It’s that simple!
Schedule a Pick Up: If you do not have transportation, please consider having someone drop your contribution off or assisting you with setting up online giving (we can also help with setting up online giving). If that fails, please contact the office to schedule a pickup and one of our representatives will work with you to pick up your contribution.

A NOTE FROM PASTOR GORDON
I know that these are strange times, but please know that I remain confident in God. I am confident that your love and commitment to God and this ministry will remain and be enhanced during this season. If you have a need, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We will continue to live by, and operate in, faith knowing that God’s work will continue through the ministry of Carter Temple. Although we have to exercise some level of “social distancing” during this time, we will use this season to draw closer to God. Feel free to also use this season to draw closer to one another by calling and reaching out to ministry partners, friends, and the most vulnerable among us. Remember, “…God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). This too shall pass. Stay faithful!
Pastor Joseph B. Gordon
